STUDENT RECITAL
One of the most rewarding experiences of last year's Summer Chamber Studies at KSU was the final performance the students gave at the Ludwig Recital Hall, to showcase the work they did while in camp. We were surprised and delighted at the students' amazing ability to learn as much repertoire as they did in such a short period of time - as you may remember, we offered two full recitals at the end of each week. This was quite an accomplishment for pre-college age kids. We were also very proud to see how professional everyone was and what an incredible sense of camaraderie the most advanced students showed toward the younger, less experienced ones. Initially we were a little afraid that if we put together ensembles made up of mixed ages and levels we'd end up with dissatisfied students, but everybody rose to the occasion and gave the very best of themselves.
